Joel L. Sullivan III
Background
Mr. Sullivan completed his undergraduate studies in instrumental music and English at Henderson State University in Arkansas. He taught for seven years before attending Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he obtained a joint degree, a Juris Doctorate in Law and Master of Arts in Communication.
Mr. Sullivan has practiced law in Huntsville, Alabama since his graduation. He has practiced in Property Law and general litigation for the duration of his practice. Since becoming Of Counsel to the Brodowski Law Firm, PC, he practices real property law and probate matters. Mr. Sullivan has practiced in the area of Eminent Domain for the past five years for the State of Alabama.
Mr. Sullivan has six children, all of whom reside in Huntsville, Alabama.
Experience
Mr. Sullivan's primary area of professional interest is Real Estate law, including Eminent Domain and litigation of real property issues. He lectures with Michael Brodowski on real estate issues, including rights of redemption in Alabama and the new landlord/tenant law.
Organization Membership and Community Service
Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice in the Federal Courts of the Northern District of Alabama. He is a member of the Alliance Defense Fund, a national network of attorneys who represent clients on First Amendment issues. He is also still active in music education and performance in the local community.
